A little make-over in the Kitchen

Hi guys!

I know it's been awhile. But that doesn't mean that I haven't been busy.
For the last three months I had a couple of new projects that needed my attention.
For my latest project, in my own apartment, is our Little kitchen (with the capital L).
It still a project, because in the beginning of 2017 our apartment will be renovated.

It is not that easy to apply minimal in a room where a lot happens.

Even though I've thrown out a lot of stuff, we still have a lot of stuff left. And it makes you wonder: Why do we keep all these things that we might only need for one day?
you wonder how I did it? Read my blog down here.

As you can see in the picture at the top, this was the situation before the make-over.
On the left side we have the kitchen block. Under the countertop there is a washing machine and two cabinets, one for my cleaning products and one for my cookware.
On the top we have two cabinets, one for our plates and glasses and the other for all our spices. As you can tell we don't have a lot of  storeroom. That is the reason why we threw away all that stuff. So that we didn't have clutter. on the other side of our kitchen we made a memory wall.
- Tip: makes sure that everything in a small space has its own place. To prevent it from looking like a clutter.

After four years I was done with this look. I wanted everything to be on one line in my whole apartment. Just like we did in the living room, we painted our memory wall in the kitchen white. We replaced our little kitschy picture frames with the three minimal big frames from IKEA .
- Tip: If you decorate the room with big accessories, it will make the room look bigger that it actually is.
After that, instead of one shelf for my kettle and my Nespresso device, we bought two white shelfs. So that we have one shelf left for storage of some of my black tea set.
