House Doctor

Last month's theme was to find the perfect pouf for our new round table. I spend so many hours on Pinterest to find some inspiration. It really brought me serious result because after a month of searching, I found this black pouf from the House Doctor.

I've chose this pouf because it has a modern lightweight appearance.
Made of rattan and metal it fits perfectly in our interior. I had to choose for the colour black or gold. And of course I have chosen for the colour black because I find this colour fits better in our Scandinavian interior.
- a really good tip that always works for small spaces: is to use furniture that light, transparant or looks floating.
This way the space looks bigger that it actually is.
En what fun part is that I got this pouf as a present for my 30th birthday from my friends from L.A. Yay!

Our white wall

It took a while, but today I’m writing my very first blog. My love for interior design has never stopped and started at the age of six, no joke! My mom never had to ask me to clean up my room (weird huh?).
Anyway, my first blog is about our white wall in our living room. We changed it a while ago from a paper wall to a clean white wall. Then it hit me! This is gonna be the perfect subject to write about on my very first blog. A new wall, a new chapter.

This is our current situation, as you can see in the picture above.
We had a grey colour barok structure wallpaper from Kwantum for four years.
It gets boring after a while and this was one of the reasons that we changed it and painted it white.
Now our living room looks light, quiet and more spacious.

Since I’ve become a mother, my taste in interior design has changed from barok to minimal and monochrome. ‘Simple’ and ‘timeless’ are the two main words for our house and that is why I have chosen for the colour white.

Not only does white exude a clean look but it also brings a lot of light in a small space.
This brings more of a spacious look to our small living room. All the Scandinavian interior is white because the days in those countries are shorter. That is why white will create more light and space in your own house. A choice I know I will never regret!
